Seen Space Studios is an architecture and design firm serving clients across New York and Puerto Rico. We are rooted in the legacy of Caribbean women; their strength, beauty, and perseverance form the foundation of our Brooklyn-born practice.
We are named for four matriarchs — Seferina, Esperanza, Eugenia, and Nelsa — whose vision guides everything we create. For us, great design begins with a deep cultural connection and authentic storytelling.
Our mission is to build transformative spaces that celebrate our clients' cultural identities while advancing a more sustainable and equitable future. We believe design should be accessible to everyone, not just a privileged few.

About the Founder
Rose Florian is a Black Puerto Rican architect, artist, and independent researcher with nearly a decade of experience across commercial, residential, transportation, healthcare, and urban design projects. She brings technical expertise and creative vision to projects of all scales, with particular insight into the cultural and social dimensions that shape successful built environments.
Rose holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Her research explores the historical contributions of black builders and technologists, informing a practice that values both innovation and cultural continuity in the spaces we create today.
